AB This report describes an asymptomatic perforation with the GyneFix® intrauterine contraceptive implant. A review of all other reports of this complication has been performed. Analysis of these reports suggests prolonged amenorrhoea secondary to continuous progestogen use as a possible common predisposing factor.
